Our Summer Mineral is designed to feed beef cattle while grazing on spring and summer pasture or in fall and winter when feeding straight hay. It has equal amounts of phosphorus and calcium. It also contains high levels of magnesium as well as 5% added salt. There are high levels of nutrient fortification for all other nutrients. It is recommended you feed Summer Minerals at 80 – 100 grams per head per day.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- Thoroughly mix 7.2 kg Summer Mineral px with 492.3 kg of barley silage and 500 kg of grass hay dry matter.
- Feed to 600 kg mature beef cows at 2.3% of their body weight as the daily Dry Matter Intake (DMI) or 13.8 kg DMI.
- Summer Mineral can also be fed on summer pasture.
Summer Mineral is usually fed when using feedstock that contain high levels of calcium and lower levels of phosphorus. Use this premix for the following feed scenarios:
- Summer pasture
- Winter hay feeding, especially Alfalfa hay.
- Grass hay
- Hay/Alfalfa silage
